Sheds & Studios

"Quiet is turning down the Volume on life" ~ Khaled Hosseini

A closer look

A Shed Above the Rest

"Listen to the Water-Mill: Through the live-long day How the clicking of its wheel Wears the hours away! Languidly the Autumn wind Stirs the forest leaves, From the field the reapers sing Binding up their sheaves: And a proverb haunts my mind As a spell is cast, "The mill cannot grind With the water that is past." ~ Sarah Doudney

The above picture is of my wife, "Cathie" having a nap in front our own garden shed/studio. With the turning of the waterwheel and the babbling brook,  it can be sometimes hard to turn a page. Myself, I've given up trying to read there... I just hang the hammock between the posts and leave the cell phone in the house.

Some work photos below.  The reason I use pressure treated plywood for the bottom half is because,  wood wicks and Calgary gets lots of snow piled up against buildings and I have repaired a lot of the sides of buildings that have rotted out due to the wick.
